At 29, Brian Smith decided that a life in Public Accounting was not for him! He quit his job and went to California to look for a new business idea and to surf. He soon noticed that there were no sheepskin boots in California, so he and a friend brought six pairs from Australia to test and so, “UGG” was born.

Top 3 Value Bombs:

1. You have to have a certain amount of ignorance to be a good entrepreneur because if you knew all the obstacles ahead of you, you would never start.

2. You have to capture the image of what you want your target market to feel; the more you put emotions to your visuals, the more successful you can be.

3. The most disappointing disappointments will become your greatest blessings.

Top 3 Value Bombs:

1. Assess what it is that drives you and make a goal. When you get to a certain point, reassess and then decide if it’s time to chill or is it something that you want to keep growing on.

2. If you're going to start somewhere you have to have a reason for it. Know what's your purpose in moving forward and entering this journey because it's not easy or guaranteed. But if you're not good where you are and you want something different then that's going to drive you.

3. If you have a good product and you see the product fits into a certain market and that market is large enough, it's really just about getting the right eyeballs onto your product.

Top 3 Value Bombs:

1. Pay attention to three things: DKIM, SPF, DMARK. those things should all say pass. If any of those say fail or neutral, or in some cases if your DMARK doesn't even show up, that is a red flag. That basically means you are failing one of the three kinds of verifications, more or less.

2. Quality is always more important than quantity. Everybody wants a really big list, but at the end of the day you got to make sure that they want to be there and they're excited.

3. Understand that you can try and reengage those other people later. But for now, you have to solve the bleeding wound that is in your e-mail list and your open hearts are suffering from.

Top 3 Value Bombs:

1. In order for this multi-generational team to work well, we've got to be humble.

2. People are everything. And if we find ways to serve and love our own people, they're going to serve and love the customer in the end.

3. Make sure you ditch the niche and start fostering relationships that are not like you. We tend to get with people that are most comfortable for us, people that are familiar, and we gave water cooler conversations with people that are like us instead of unlike us.
